New Haven Police have arrested the father of a teen charged in a deadly hit-and-run.

Keith Boyd, 53, was arrested Friday afternoon. He is the father of an unnamed juvenile who police arrested last month in connection with the death of Kyshant Moore, Jr.

Moore, 14, was riding his bike on Front Street near Grand Avenue on January 15, 2011 when he was struck and killed. According to police, the juvenile responsible was driving a stolen minivan and intentionally opened the driver's side door, striking Moore and killing him.

Police arrested the juvenile in September.

Friday, officers arrested Boyd and charged him with intimidating a witness and conspiracy to intimidate a witness. He is being held on $500,000 bond. Police have also secured an arrest warrant for Boyd's son on the same charges. The juvenile is still in custody and will be arrested at his arraignment on Oct. 9, according to police.
