Carlos Arias-Gutierrez, 59, is accused of sexually assaulting a 9-year-old girl in Norwalk.

A 59-year-old Norwalk man has been charged with sexually assaulting a 9-year-old child.

Carlos Arias-Gutierrez is charged with first-degree sexual assault and risk of injury to a minor.

Police say he was arrested Wednesday outside his home after the child's parents accused him of sexually assaulting their child.

Arias-Gutierrez was being held on $250,000 bond. It was not immediately clear whether he has an attorney.
