    Harold Winnie is accused of sexually assaulting a girl at his home several years ago.

    Watertown police have arrested a 65-year-old local man accused of sexually assaulting a girl in his home several years ago.

    Police arrested Harold Winnie, of 113 Cherokee Drive in Watertown, on Wednesday after a girl told a family member that Winnie had sexually assaulted her, police said.

    The family member contacted police and Winnie has been charged with sexual assault in the first degree, sexual assault in the third degree and risk of injury to a minor.

    Police said the girl is under the age of 16, knew Winnie and is not related to him.
    Police are investigating and said they do not know if there are any additional victims.

    Winnie was held on $100,000 bond and is due in Waterbury Superior Court today.
