Farmington police have arrested a woman accused of crashing into a police cruiser while she was under the influence, then fleeing the scene.
Police said an officer was conducting a traffic stop on Farmington Avenue just after 5 p.m. on Wednesday and the emergency lights were on when Jennifer Newtown, 28, of West Hartford, hit the cruiser and fled.
Police pulled her over a short time later and Newtown was charged with operating under the influence, evading responsibility and improper passing.
She was released on bond and is due in court on Dec. 24.
