Norwich Man Found With 200 Bags of Heroin: Police

A Norwich man is facing drug charges after officers stopped his car Saturday and found heroin inside, police said.

Investigators pulled over 42-year-old Jose Rivera, of Fountain Street, while he was driving through downtown Norwich yesterday. Authorities found Rivera with more than 200 bags of heroin and an unspecified amount of cash.

He was arrested and charged with possession of heroin and possession with intent to sell.

Rivera was released on a $10,000 bond and is due in court April 4.
