Teen in Mass. Charged With Killing Teacher Accused of Assault

Teenage murder suspect Phillip Chism has allegedly assaulted a female Department of Youth Services employee in Massachusetts, according to the Essex County Sheriff's Department, New England Cable News reported. DYS confirmed the assault happened at their Dorchester facility Monday, but won't comment on exactly what happened, if the employee was injured, or how it happened at this point. Chism has pleaded not guilty to raping and murdering his teacher Colleen Ritzer back in October at Danvers High School. Read »

Coach's Honesty Cost Team the Championship

A high school track and field team has lost their state championship title when their coach owned up to a scoring error that wasn't in the team's favor, NECN reported. When Derek Herber, a North Attleboro, Massachusetts, Rocketeers coach, realized his team received too many points on one event due to a computer error, the team finished third instead of finishing first. Crew Locates Missing Yacht, No Sign of Passengers

A U.S. Navy helicopter located the flooded remains of a 40-foot British yacht that has been missing for a week on Friday, NECN reported. The capsized boat's life raft was still on board and there was no sign of the four passengers, according to the Coast Guard . Ex-Patriot Aaron Hernandez Partied Days After Alleged Murders

Former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez posed for photos and was "goofing around" with friends, days after allegedly murdering two men outside a Boston nightclub, NECN reported. The owner of Scooter World in Newport, Rhode Island said Hernandez and three of his friends rented scooters and jet-skis less than a week after the nightclub shootings. 8 Injured in Massachusetts Bus Crash

Eight people have been injured after a Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority bus crashed through a guardrail over the Massachusetts Pike in Newton on Sunday morning, NECN reported. Seven passengers and the bus driver were taken to area hospitals with non-life threatening injuries. Doctors Reattach Teen's Arm Severed in Pasta Machine

Seventeen-year-old Brett Bouchard is recovering less than a month after he cut off his right arm in an accident at the restaurant where he works in upstate New York, NECN reported. The accident occurred when Bouchard was cleaning an industrial pasta maker, severing his right arm below the elbow. Since then he has undergone four operations at Massachusetts General Hospital to reattach his limb, as well as moving skin from other parts of his body to cover his arm. Read »
