Bristol Makes GQ's “Worst Dressed” List

But we rank higher than Manhattan and Boston.

Bristol has the unfortunate honor of being deemed one of the worst dressed cities in America. Of the 40 cities to make GQ’s list, Bristol is number 38.

The ranking is not based on the actual residents of Bristol. GQ editors based their judgment on ESPN personalities.

The magazine had harsh criticism and said former athletes who appear as personalities on ESPN look like “comic book super villains”

GQ editors said they understand that the dress code correlates with sports, which is all about high scores, victory and “making the loudest statement.”

It’s pretty clear from the description of the list that this is meant to be tongue-in-cheek.

“After a deeply scientific, irrefutable poll, we gathered, analyzed, and ranked the most sartorially-challenged metropolises in the greater United States,” the GQ editors wrote.

Bristol does have bragging rights, however. It ranks highter than Atlanta (17), Miami (9), Philadelphia (6), Manhattan (5) and Boston (1).
