iCarly's First CT Stop: Tween singer and actress Miranda Cosgrove, star of Nickelodeon's top-rated show iCarly, performs tonight at the Toyota Presents Oakdale Theatre. Last year, Cosgrove released her debut album 'Sparks Fly,' which cracked the Billboard 200's top ten. She was also featured in the animated film 'Despicable Me,' and guested on TV's 'The Good Wife.' Tickets to Cosgrove's first trip to Connecticut have sold well, but a few still remain for $41.50 here. 7:30 p.m.
Outer Space Celebration: The people behind Hamden's The Space are throwing a grand opening party this Saturday for their new sister venue, The Outer Space. The event will be headlined by a rare performance from rock act Mighty Purple, featuring the venue's owner Steve Rodgers. War at the Oakdale: Actor Jared Leto's emo rock act 30 Seconds to Mars bring their 'This is War' tour to the Live Nation's Toyota Presents Oakdale Theater on Saturday night. The "Requiem for a Dream" star has gone glam, achieved platinum-selling status and won several MTV awards, although critical reception has been mixed.
