Shelton Soldier Burial

An Army lieutenant from Connecticut who never made it home from the war in Iraq will be laid to rest Thursday at Arlington National Cemetery.

1st Lt. Thomas Brown was killed in September in an attack north of  Baghdad.

Gov. M. Jodi Rell ordered flags to be at half-staff from dawn to dusk Thursday in honor of Brown. Flags shoot return to full-staff at sundown.   

His family in Monroe held funeral services in October. Brown grew up in Shelton and had been living in Virginia.
