The Arch Street Tavern in Hartford has a free Happy Hour buffet and drink specials starting at 4:30 p.m. That should warm you up for The Hartford Jazz Orchestra featuring Bobbi Rogers. And in case you didn't know, everything tastes better when it's free.

J. Gilbert's in Glastonbury has some great Happy Hour specials. They've got a $5 appetizer menu and a whole bunch of drink specials. We hear it's a great place for a first date.
Monster Mash
Here's our afternoon pick for you. Discovery Museum in Bridgeport has a really cool new program for the kids called "How To Make A Monster". You can see the art and science behind movie magic, from appliances and animatronics to puppeteering. It's an interactive display you can check out free with museum admission. Note - the museum closes at 5 p.m., so get there early!
