2 Arrested on Heroin Charges After Pomfret Traffic Stop

Connecticut State Police have arrested two men on heroin charges after  police said the pair admitting to having heroin during a traffic stop.

Police said the Troop D Quality of Life Task Force stopped a vehicle for failing to drive right. The driver, David Hetu, 25, of Thompson, was known to police from previous incidents.

According to police, Hetu seemed nervous during his conversation with police and admitted he had heroin hidden in his boot. The passenger, Gregory Raymond, 31, of Putnam, also admitted to having heroin, police said.

According to police, troopers seized 19.1 grams of heroin from the pair.

Hetu was charged with possession of heroin and possession of heroin with intent to sell. He was released on a $5,000 surety bond. Raymond was charged with possession of heroin. He was released on a $1,000 surety bond. Both are scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 4.
