Woman Shot, Man Stabbed on Garden Street in Hartford

Hartford police are investigating after a woman was shot and a man stabbed on Garden Street in Hartford.

Shot spotter alerted police about the gunshots at 9:05 p.m. and police found several shell casings, two damaged trash bins and one damaged vehicle.

A 35-year-old Hartford man and a 25-year-old Hartford woman - were injured in an incident on Garden Street and dropped off at St. Francis Hospital, Hartford Police Deputy Chief Brian Foley said. Officers responded to the high school at 9:19 p.m. 

The woman suffered a graze wound to the back of her head. Police said she had an outstanding arrest warrant for assault on emergency medical persons.

The man was stabbed in the buttocks and right arm. He is in stable condition.

The injuries were not life-threatening, Foley said.
