A 2-year-old girl who was hit by a vehicle in Bridgeport on Monday night is in fair condition, according to police.
The child was struck at Pearl and Park streets and her mother said the toddler was playing in the backyard and must have snuck out, police said.
The little girl was transported to Bridgeport hospital and is in fair condition.
The mother did not see the crash, according to police.
Police cited the driver of the vehicle for operating without a license.
