New Haven police are investigating after a man was shot in the thigh Wednesday night.
The shooting occurred in the area of 688 Elm Street around 6:30 p.m. Police said the victim, identified as Nathaniel Griffin, 22, of New Haven, was found suffering a non-life threatening gunshot wound to the thigh.
Griffin told police he was shot by someone driving by in a car but provided no description of the vehicle or a shooter. He was taken to Yale-New Haven Hospital for treatment.
