Police have found a 93-year-old man disappeared on Monday while heading to the airport in New York has been found safe in Florida.
A Silver Alert issued was canceled late Tuesday evening.
Wojciech Piekos was reported missing from Norwalk around 8 p.m. on Monday after he took a taxi from Norwalk to LaGuardia Airport in New York.
Police said he was planning to fly to Miami, Florida and return to his home in Longboat Key, but police checked with airlines and New York city officials and determined that Piekos did not fly.
On Wednesday morning, police said Piekos was found safe in Longboat Key and his family was going to get him.
Police said he might suffer from dementia and was considered endangered.
