A Groton man has been arrested after his dog was found dead in a crate in the backyard Friday.
The dog was left with no water, police told the Groton Patch.
Temperatures reached the mid-90s in Groton Friday, which police believe led to the dog's death.
Officer charged Steven McConnell with cruelty to animals and breach of peace.
