Bank Robbed Today Offers Reward

A man robbed American Eagle Federal Credit Union in East Hartford.

Officials from the East Hartford bank that was robbed on Thursday morning are offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the robber.

A man handed a note demanding cash to a teller at the American Eagle Federal Credit Union, 417 Main St., around 9 a.m. and escaped in a small dark vehicle toward Route 2, police said.

Police are looking for a 5-feet, 6-inch tall, stocky man, with a short beard who was wearing light-colored shorts and a black shirt.
