The person who apparently drowned in Keney Park Pond in Hartford on Tuesday night has been identified as Sindy Walker, 40, of East Hartford.
Officials said they were called to the park at around 10:15 p.m. on Tuesday after two people went into the pond.
Walker did not resurface from the water, which is about 7 feet deep.
The other person, a woman, was uninjured, officials said.
Dive teams spent about two hours searching and found Walker's body shortly after 1 a.m. on Wednesday.
An autopsy will be conducted to determine the exact cause of Walker's death.
