Bruce "Bruno" Hayn, an "Extreme Makeover" volunteer charged with arson is suing the builders involved in a charitable project in Griswold.
Hayn, 54, of Colchester, claims he suffered numerous injuries, some permanent, in the volunteer effort to rebuild a Landa family's burned house, theNorwich Bulletin reports.
In the lawsuit, Hayn said builders were assembling pieces of a modular home on the foundation on Nov. 12, 2009 when a section of the roof fell onto his back, crushing him to the ground, the paper reports.
The Bulletin could not reach Hayn and his lawyer declined to comment to the paper.
Hayn is also the vice chairman of the Colchester board of finance.
