Former Hartford Cop Arrested Last Week Faces More Charges

A former Hartford police officer arrested twice last week is facing new charges after boating-related incidents over the weekend.

The Day of New London reports 62-year-old Kenneth Elyosius' weekend troubles started Saturday night when Stonington police received a report that the Bristol man was causing a disturbance on his boat near Mystic Seaport.

He was charged with breach of peace and trespass.

Police say he was involved in a disturbance in Groton waters on Sunday morning and charged.

Eloysius was arrested July 28 after he anchored his 30-foot boat in a channel in the Mystic River and refused to move. He was charged a day later after going to a cafe he had been warned to stay away from. A judge ordered him to undergo mental health and alcohol evaluations.

It's unclear if he has an attorney.
