Police Arrest Suspect in Murder of Middletown Man in Hartford

Hartford police have arrested a suspect in the murder of a Middletown man on Woodland Drive in Hartford in February.

Tamair Chance, 27, has been arrested and charged with the murder of 26-year-old Joseph Goiangos of Middletown, on Feb. 19.

A person who was leaving for work that morning called 911 after seeing Goiangos’ body and police determined the victim had been shot in the chest. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

During a news conference, police said Goiangos’ vehicle was not at the scene and they located it in the South End of Hartford.

Police said they obtained an arrest warrant on July 2 and Chance has been charged with murder and criminal possession of a firearm and members of the U.S. Marshals Violent Fugitive located him on Thursday.

Bond was set at $1.5 million.
