Police are looking for the man who robbed a woman outside a closed West Haven gas station store early Sunday morning.
A woman pulled into the Mobil Gas Station at 540 Derby Avenue in West Haven thinking that it was open. As she was getting out of her car, an older model blue car pulled into the parking lot and a man wielding a gun got out, police said. He stole her purse from her at gunpoint, police said.
West Haven police responded at about 6:10 a.m.
Detectives are searching for the man and the car he was in. The car was being driven by a man who is about 6 feet tall and in his early 30s and was last seen wearing a grey, puffy jacket.
No further information was immediately available.
