Yard Goats Turf Manager Named Eastern League Field Manager of the Year for the Second Year in a Row

The Hartford Yard Goats' Sports Turf Manager, Kyle Calhoon, won the title of 2018 Eastern League Diamond Pro Sports Field Manager of the Year, for the second year in a row, the league announced Friday.

The award is voted on by Eastern League field staff and umpires.

“This is once again a most-deserved award for Kyle Calhoon and the Grounds Crew at Dunkin' Donuts Park,” Hartford Yard Goats President Tim Restall said. “The work ethic, dedication, and passion that they shows on a daily basis are second to none."

This year marks Calhoon's third with the team at Dunkin' Donuts Park.  Calhoon helped lead the effort to plan and design the field at the new Hartford ballpark.

Before joining the Yard Goats, Calhoon was the Grounds Manager at Levi's Stadium in San Francisco where the 49ers call home.
