The black bear that’s been roaming through the town of Redding is back in the woods.
The bear left behind a trail of mangled bird feeders, according to the News Times.
Those who spotted the bear said it weighed several hundred pounds and stood 5-feet tall. He was seen Tuesday morning around Route 107 and Winding Brook Road.
"Our concern was that the bear was near (the schools)," police Sgt. Peter Quinn told the News Times. "When we saw him, we tried to guide him away from the school."
