Coach Leaving Prison, Not Heading for a Court

Former Coach to be Released From Prison

The city of Milford will impose tough restrictions on Robert Dulin, 55, a former star point guard who is scheduled to be released from prison Friday.

Dulin was a youth basketball coach, after his run as a point guard for UConn from 1979 to 1981.  He was sent to jail 18 months ago for having sex with a 17-year-old female player.

Once he's released, the court is not barring him from coaching sports or interacting with teens -- but Milford officials say they have no intentions of letting him do either.  Milford's Superintendent of Schools, Harvey Polansky says he'll enforce an order prohibiting Dulin from going to any Milford school or playground.

Dulin will have to register as a sex offender, and won't be allowed any contact with the victim.
