A Milford factory owner plans to rebuild after fire destroyed his business and left 100 people without jobs.
A four-alarm fire destroyed Milford Fabricating Co. Tuesday, leveling the Erna Avenue plant but company president Ed Pohl said he will at least half of his 100 employees back to work at a temporary facility within a month.
He will also rebuild the company that’s been in his family since 1947. Pohl expects the construction to take about a year.
Pohl said while he might not be able to employee all of the workers, he'll extend existing health benefits to all employees.
Investigators are still searching for clues to the cause of fire.
