Flooding closed parts of Interstate 95 in Norwalk Thursday, forcing traffic off the highway until the water drained out.
Traffic cameras showed significant flooding between exits 16 and 15. A weather station at nearby Norwalk Hospital reported 2.52 inches of rain in the area in 40 minutes.
There were also lane closures on the northbound side of the highway.
Drivers should never enter flooded roadways - the water may be deeper than it appears.
