Man Charged With Making Bomb Threats on Government Buildings

A 21-year-old Oakville man is charged with making bomb threats on a local courthouse and town hall. 

A 21-year-old Oakville man is charged with making bomb threats on a local courthouse and town hall. , of the Oakville part of Watertown, is accused of sending an email to court officials at Waterbury Superior Court on Tuesday afternoon that said there was a bomb in the building and that the court system was corrupt, according to state police. 

Police eventually traced the message to Spangenberg, who they said confessed to writing the email. 

They said he also admitted making another phone threat against Watertown Town Hall. Officials said no bomb was located in either building. 

Spangenberg has been in custody pending a Wednesday appearance in Waterbury Superior Court. He has been charged with felony threatening, breach of peace and other charges. 

It couldn't be immediately determined if he has a lawyer.
