Police have identified a woman that died after a multi-vehicle crash on Route 10 in Avon on Tuesday morning.
Emergency crews were called to a crash involving three vehicles on Route 10 around 5:16 a.m.
Police said there was only a driver in each vehicle and all three drivers went to the hospital.
According to investigators, one of the drivers later died. She has been identified as Jill Ayers, 48, of Barkhamsted.

The two other drivers are males and they both are being treated for minor injuries.
The accident reconstruction team was called to investigate the crash.

Route 10 was closed for several hours on Tuesday morning. The area has since reopened.
