All New London Public schools will be closed Friday and students will move to distance learning after new COVID-19 cases were identified in the district, officials said Thursday.
Officials said the closure is based on the number of schools recently affected by COVID-19 cases and will allow time for contact tracing.
The district reminded families to take basic precautions like hand washing to help control the spread of the virus.
