Cops: Baseball Thief Steals (From) Home

An East Lyme man is accused of stealing more than $5,000 worth of autographed baseballs from his friend's dad.

The unidentified homeowner called police after noticing 23 baseballs missing from his Scott Road house in February. Some of the balls were signed by Reggie Jackson, Willie Mays, Derek Jeter, Roger Clemens and Cal Ripken Jr., the Day of New London reports.

Police arrested Michael Wall, 23, on Tuesday, and charged him with larceny. Some of the balls have been recovered.
