Man Dead After Shooting in East Hartford

A man is dead after a shooting in East Hartford early Friday morning.

Police officers responded to Malibu Sports Bar and Lounge at 12:30 a.m. Friday after receiving reports that someone had been shot and they found Ryan Dowling, 27, of East Hartford, unconscious in the parking lot. 

Officers performed CPR on him for several minutes and Dowling was transported to a local hospital, where he died, police said. 

Witnesses told police that two possible suspects, men in their 20s who were dressed in black, left in a dark sedan. 

The crowd was uncooperative and hostile toward police, according to police.
