Rell: Foreign Banks Will Continue Business in State

Several overseas banks will continue to do business in Connecticut, Gov. M Jodi Rell said.

Rell met with representatives from several banks Wednesday.

The Royal Bank of Scotland, which is building a $500 million facility in Stamford, said the project will go on.

The governor said she's concerned that layoffs at those banks would affect the state's already declining revenue, especially in income tax collections in Fairfield County.
