A 45-year-old Newport woman seems to have loved the ’80s and it’s a hard habit state police tried to break when she climbed onstage during a Chicago concert at MGM Grand Theater.
Lori Ann Murphy was "highly intoxicated" when she climbed onstage Saturday night, cops told The Day of New London, to be closer to the band, whose ballads probably piped through the speakers at Murphy’s high school dances.
She struggled with security as they tried to pull her away and the State Police Casino Unit arrested her, the Norwich Bulletin reports.
The 42-year-old band has been on tour across the country and has been getting pretty good reviews, even with the loss of two of the original band members.
