Cromwell Man Struck and Killed on Route 2 in Glastonbury: State Police

A 33-year-old Cromwell man has died after he was struck by a car on Route 2 in Glastonbury early Wednesday morning.

State Police said Malcolm Privott, 33, of Cromwell, was walking on Route 2 East when he was struck just before 4 a.m. near the exit 11 on-ramp. He was pronounced dead at the scene, according to state police.

His vehicle was parked on the median and Privott was walking against traffic, according to state police. Police said it's not clear why his vehicle was parked and he was walking on the road.

Police are asking for witnesses or anyone with a dashboard camera who was driving in the area when the crash happened to call Trooper First Class John Wilson at 860-534-1098 or email john.wilson@ct.gov.
