Cinco de Mayo Drinks: Angry Meltdown & Fruit Coronarita



    Determined Triathlete Never Lost Hope

    Angry Meltdown
    Yield: one drink

    You Need:
    • 16 oz glass
    • Cubed ice
    • 6 oz (half bottle) of Angry Orchard Hard Cider (or your favorite hard cider)
    • ¼ cup margarita mix
    • 1 shot (1 ½ oz) Fireball Cinnamon Whisky

    • Fill a 16 oz glass with ice
    • Add Hard Cider and Margarita mix, give a quick stir
    • Top off with shot of Fireball Cinnamon Whisky

    Fruit CoronaRita
    Yield: one drink

    You Need:
    • Large schooner  (or pint glass)
    • Lime juice & kosher salt (for rim)
    • Cubed ice
    • 3/4  Cup margarita mix
    • 1 ½ oz (1 shot) Tequila
    • 1 Tablespoon Triple Sec
    • ½ Cup fruit puree (i.e. strawberry, peach, mango)
    • 1 Coronita (small 8oz Corona bottle)
    • Lime wedge

    • Dip the rim of your glass into lime juice, and then into Kosher or margarita salt
    • Fill your salted glass with ice
    • Separately, put a small scoop of ice into a shaker and add your Margarita Mix, Tequila, Triple Sec and fruit puree.  Shake until well blended and chilled
    • Pour mixture into your prepared glass
    • Invert the Coronita bottle into the margarita.  Or if you prefer, you can simply pour the beer into the margarita.
    • Top it off with a squeeze of fresh lime
    • Enjoy!
