Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walks

A Colon Cancer Patient Gets the Right Care at the Right Time
    NBC Connecticut

NBC Connecticut and Telemundo Connecticut are proud to connect you with the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walks.

This 5K walk raises funds for breast cancer research and treatment. It’s an inspiring event that honors breast cancer warriors, both past and present, and gives the community a chance to demonstrate that nobody walks alone.

On Sunday, October 14, NBC Connecticut Reporter Justin Schecker is emcee of the New Haven walk at Lighthouse Point Park.

On Sunday, October 28, NBC Connecticut First Alert Meteorologist Bob Maxon will be the emcee at Bushnell Park in Hartford.

Come walk with us, as we celebrate survivorship, hope and determination to make breast cancer a thing of the past.

There are several other locations and dates across Connecticut:

    • October 14 – New Haven, Litchfield, Westport
    • October 21 – Niantic
    • October 28 - Hartford

Registration for the walk is free, but walkers are encouraged to fundraise. For more information, click here
