In six days, Shabazz Napier will know his NBA fate. The draft will be held on Thursday, June 26, but it appears that the former UConn point guard -- and the man largely responsible for the team's national title run last season -- is moving up draft boards. So much so, in fact, that he'll be at the Barclays Center, which will host the event.
Details via this tweet from Yahoo.com basketball writer : "As further proof of how far Shabazz Napier's stock has risen: He's accepted an invite to green room for NBA Draft, source tells Yahoo."
The NBA doesn't typically invite players to the draft that don't have chance to be taken high.
So where might Napier end up?
One way or the other, we'll know definitely next week.
