Suspect in Mail Carrier's Death Put on Suicide Watch

Prosecutors call the crash a "genuine tragedy"

The woman police say was driving the vehicle that crashed through the garage of a Bristol home and killed a postal worker is on suicide watch and being held on $1 million bond. She has a prior record in California and Nevada.

Jeffrey Dziob, 38, was in the garage at his Rosemary Lane, on Dec. 27 when Frances Ableski, 49, drove into the garage, police said.

The father of two died as a result of injuries sustained by the crash, police said.

On Tuesday night, police arrested Ableski, who was charged with DWI and first-degree manslaughter.

On Wednesday, Abelski was in court and prosecutors called the fatal crash a “genuine tragedy. Dozens of Dziob's fellow postal workers were at the courthouse as his accused killer appeared before a judge.

She has no driver’s license and the truck was not registered, according to the charges.

She has been convicted in California and Nevada of public intoxication and grand larceny, according to court records.

Abelski was put on mental health watch and suicide watch. Her next court date is Jan. 27.
