79-Year-Old Bicyclist Has Life-Threatening Injuries After Hamden Crash

A 79-year-old Middlebury man has life-threatening injuries after his bike hit a vehicle in Hamden on Tuesday afternoon. 

Police responded to Todd Street around 1 p.m. Tuesday after a motor vehicle accident with injuries was reported. 

Police said Milton Parkins, 79, of Middlebury, was on a bicycle going northbound on the Farmington Canal Trail when he drove into a motor vehicle that was traveling westbound on Todd Street. 

Parkins was transported to Yale-New Haven Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
