9 Arrested in Drug and Gambling Raid at After-Hours Club

Police arrested nine people after raiding an after-hours club at a residence in Hartford.

Police raided 136 Edgewood Street on Thursday after several neighbors complained about on drug dealing, illegal gambling and the after-hours club.

Police said this house is just a few doors down from another after-hours club where one person was killed and another person was injured in a shooting earlier this month.

The search on Thursday netted $6,000 in cash and 5 pounds of marijuana, according to police and license and inspections also responded to the house for a safety check.

Donovan Allen, 35, of Hartford, and Michael Johnson, 57, of Hartford, were charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession with intent to sell as controlled substance within 1,500 feet from a school.

Audley Rosa, 46, of Hartford, was charged on with drug possession with intent to sell and on an outstanding warrant for operating a drug factory, in addition to other charges.

Neville Duncan, 29, of East Hartford, was arrested on a PRAWN warrant.

Christopher Henry, 35, and Ackeel Campbell, 28, of Hartford, were both charged with possession with intent to sell within 1,500 feet of a school, possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell and interfering with police.

Orett Malcolm, 27, and Lathan McDonald, 41, both of Hartford, were charged with possession with intent to sell within 1,500 feet from a school, possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell and possession of a controlled substance.

Devon Wilson, 58, of Bloomfield, Adrian Cooks, 26, of Hartford, Levell Stephenson, 41, of Bloomfield, Dennis Pennant, 35, of Hartford, and Robert Hamrick, 46, of Hartford, were ticketed for possession of less than half an ounce of marijuana.

Robert Hamrick was also arrested on an outstanding PRAWN warrant.

Police said they are still investigating.
