POlice have arrested a suspect in a Bridgeport bank robbery.

Bridgeport police have arrested a man suspected of robbing TD North Bank on North Main Street on Tuesday.

Police said a community member helped identify Jose Vieira, 40, of Norland Street in Bridgeport, as the suspect and provided his name and address.

Vieira was arrested on Thursday night and charged with second-degree robbery and fifth-degree larceny.

Police said he made a video statement, confessing to committing the robbery.
