All Friends Animal Hospital

An x-ray shows the arrow that went through a cat in Norwich. The cat survived.

A cat was shot by an arrow in Norwich and police are trying to find the person responsible.

Elliott was shot by a crossbow in the Gates Road section of Norwich.

He is now at the All Friends Animal Hospital in Norwich, where he is purring, eating, resting and on the road to recovery, according to the animal hospital’s Facebook page.

Mayor Peter Nystrom was the one to find him.

The incumbent mayor, who is running against Deb Hinchey, the Democratic candidate, and William Russell, the Libertarian candidate, in today’s mayoral race, said the arrow missed every organ and artery.

Anyone with information about Elliott’s injuries should call the Norwich Animal Control Unit at 860-887-5747.
