Elderly Woman Hit and Killed by Car in Wethersfield

Elderly Woman Hit and Killed by Car in Wethersfield

Three people were rushed to SF General Saturday morning.

A woman was hit by a car and killed in Wethersfield Tuesday night.

Josefa Mariposque was crossing Wolcott Hill Road from Bliss Market around 6:40 p.m. when she was hit by the car travelling in the northbound lane, according to Wethersfield police. Mariposque, 72,  was unconscious and was suffering from serious injuries when officers arrived at the scene.

Mariposque was rushed to the hospital where she died.

The accident is under investigation. Police have asked anyone who witnessed the accident to call Officer Newton at the Wethersfield Police Department at 860-721-2900.
