A man was seriously injured when he was struck by a car in Vernon Sunday afternoon.
Dispatchers confirmed the incident occurred near 93 Thrall Road. Initial reports were that the victim suffered serious injuries and was transported to Hartford Hospital.
Police said the victim is a male in his 20s. He was not publicly identified.
The area of Dart Hill Road at Thrall Road was closed while the accident reconstruction team investigated.
