The Derby Police Department is investigating the shooting death of 22 year old Javon Zimmerman.
Police responded around 2 a.m.to a report of shots fired in the parking lot of RJ's Cafe, 148 Elizabeth St.
Zimmerman was found with several gun shots wounds and transported to Griffin Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The Derby Police, Ansonia Police and the Connecticut State Police Major Crime Squad are investigating. Anyone with more information is asked to call Derby Police at 203-735-7811.
