Equipment failure caused a private helicopter to make an emergency landing in Redding on Sunday.
Redding police said the helicopter carrying a male pilot and female passenger were en route from Kingston New York to Long Island when the tail rotor section of the aircraft experienced a mechanical problem.
The helicopter landed in a private driveway on Lonetown Road around 3 pm police said.
The incident was turned over to the FAA out of Bradley Airport where it is currently being investigated.
