Husband Drove at Wife During Dispute in Naugatuck Driveway: Police

Naugatuck police have arrested a man who is accused of driving at his wife during a domestic dispute last week.

Police responded to Andrew Mountain Road on Friday after being alerted to a domestic disturbance between a husband and wife in the driveway and said Jason Lapan, 32, of Naugatuck, drove toward his wife during an argument.

When Lapan later returned, the couple started arguing again and he tried to take his wife’s phone as she called police, according to a news release from police.

Lapan was charged with third-degree assault, threatening, first-degree reckless endangerment, disorderly conduct and interfering with an emergency call.

He was released on a $25,000 surety bond and is due in Waterbury Superior Court on Monday.
