Police in New London are investigating an assault on Belden Street and Belden Court on Sunday night that sent a man to the hospital.
The victim suffered head and neck trauma and was taken to Lawrence and Memorial Hospital, according to police.
The assault was reported just before 8:30 p.m. and witnesses told police the victim and assailant know each other, police said.
No additional information has been released on the severity of the victim’s injuries.
Police are continuing to interview witnesses.
