Man in Critical Condition After Bridgeport Shooting

Police are investigating a shooting that left a man critically injured in Bridgeport.

A 30-year-old male is in critical condition after a shooting at a public housing complex in Bridgeport on Tuesday afternoon.

Police said Malcolm Daniels Jr. was shot several times between Buildings 4 and 5 of the Bridgeport Housing Authority’s Charles F. Greene Homes apartment complex on Washington Avenue.

An officer heard gunshots coming from the area of the complex and found Daniels.

He was transported to St. Vincent’s Medical Center, went through emergency surgery and is in critical condition. Witnesses reported two men in masks running from the area.
